i’ve always liked working the most on holidays because of the freedom. my creativity flourishes when i’m not reactionary or waiting on someone else to tell me to do something.
in 2009, i started my first tumblr which felt like the beginning of my career as a visual artist, designer, photographer, film director, etc etc etc.
before i started making anything of my own — i was curating. as an artist & designer, i believe it’s important to understand your point of view. what do you naturally gravitate to? what’s your aesthetic north star?
i constantly talk to friends about how taste is important, and also how taste can’t be taught. you’re only as good as your taste.
i feel like the past decade of my life was about learning who i am.
